Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), USM’s 8-semester DPT program emphasizes dynamic, hands-on learning and applicable clinical reasoning skills consistent with the Guide to Physical Therapist Practice and the American Physical Therapy Association's Standards of Practice. Students fully understand the fundamentals of the profession while also being introduced to a broad spectrum of treatment techniques—comprehensively preparing graduates to pass the National Physical Therapy Examination. In keeping with the spirit of our founders, the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, USM is committed to helping students realize their God-given potential—inspiring them to strive for academic excellence in coursework and in practice. Who We're Looking For

Summary

Dedicated students with a passion for helping others and a desire to join a booming career field. Applicant Requirements A bachelor degree from an accredited institution All prerequisite courses PTCAS application including: official transcripts, GRE scores, and essay submitted to PTCAS Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA (4.0 scale)—a 3.5 or higher is recommended to be competitive (Keep in mind: Cumulative GPA is calculated to include ALL academic coursework reported to PTCAS, including courses repeated.) 40 observation hours recommended, but not required Admissions Process Applicants will be selected for an onsite interview, along with participating in onsite activities. The interview is the final phase of the admissions process. Interview candidates are selected based on their compliance with and scoring on admissions criteria. Interview candidates will be notified by email confirming the day, time, location, and itinerary. Please note, it is the responsibility of the applicant to provide a current email address and phone number on his/her PTCAS application, which will remain intact until classes begin in June.
